Pennswood Village is excited to officially welcome our new Director of Development, Susan Abtouche!

“Susan was a clear choice for us,” says Ben Hoyle, CEO of Pennswood. “I think she’s going to be a really great fit for Pennswood.”

Susan is now serving as a member of the Senior Management Team, and she will share in the responsibility of overall management and operation of Pennswood. Her main responsibility will be to oversee the planning and implementation of fundraising programs for the community.

She plans to continue to aid fundraising efforts to expand Pennswood’s philanthropic culture. During the past year, fundraising efforts at Pennswood have raised $1,111,867 for the community’s Fellowship Fund, a fund intended to assist residents with financial support when their assets become depleted through no fault of their own.

Susan comes to Pennswood Village with more than 11 years experience in the senior living field, and an extensive education in leadership, human services and administration. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University; holds an M.S. in Administration of Human Services from Chestnut Hill College; and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Holy Family University.

“I’m exited to have joined the team at Pennswood Village,” says Susan. “I look forward to getting to know the residents, and working closely with them to learn about their vision for their community.”

Susan previously served as Director of Philanthropy at Ann’s Choice by Erickson Living, where she helped shape a culture of philanthropy within the community. Working closely with community residents, she developed programs and opportunities that benefit the community including fundraising for their benevolent fund, employee scholarship funds, an endowment program, and a successful volunteer program.

She has many connections to the Bucks County community and previously served as a board member of the YWCA Bucks County. Her daughter also attended George School.
