The exhibition, Ars Botanica, continues the celebration of Pennswood’s extended anniversary year. The Pennswood Art Gallery is revisiting the work of the Botanical Friends, who previously exhibited in 2017.

Carol Ashton-Hergenhan and the married couple Linda and John Gist, are all graduates of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
John Gist
All are accomplished artists with a history of many exhibitions and awards. Their paintings are meticulously observed plants, some from their own gardens.

During the exhibition, Ashton-Hergenhan will donate the proceeds of her sales to Pennswood.
The beautiful paintings in this exhibition encourage close and quiet contemplation. Their beauty is both in the subject observed and how it is produced by the eye and hand of each artist.
