The Pennswood Art Gallery is celebrating its current exhibition of artist Marc Schimsky’s paintings with a closing reception Sunday, March 13th at 3:00 PM (with wine and cheese). Preceding the reception will be an Artist’s Talk presentation by Marc Schimsky, which will take place at 2:00 PM.
Please Note: Vaccinated outside visitors may visit the gallery from 9 to 5 daily.

We look foreword to viewing Marc Schimsky’s works, which are — in his words — “something mysterious, quirky or magical,” and adding, “generally my paintings are about solitude, space, shadows and the moments between actions.”
His colorful paintings have a powerful, somewhat eerie presence. There is nothing tentative about them. Whether figures or abstractions, they are drawn with strong clear lines and shapes.
They exude energy. Schimsky is successful in his stated goal “to create paintings that are challenging and provocative.”

Located in Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA, the non-profit, contemporary fine art gallery has exhibited over the course of forty years, such famous names as Harry Leith Ross, Danial Garber, later John Redmond, Earl B. Lewis, and more recently Pat Martin, Robert Beck, and James Bongartz.
